After women gained suffrage in Soviet Russia in 1917, March 8, became a national holiday there. The day was then chiefly celebrated by the socialist movement and communist countries. Finally, in 1975 it was officially adopted by the United Nations. This is the point of focus in the movement for Women's Rights.
Today International Women's Day is successful recognized & celebrated worldwide even as a public holiday in some countries. It is a day which celebrates Womanhood
Nowadays in different parts of the world on this day of 8th March, special programs & events are organized in order to praise the
handful efforts of women and to make them feel special and give them the due respect & honor which they actually deserve.
Each & every year myriad of activities such as award distribution, exhibitions, talent shows, public speaking events and debates
on rights of women related issues are organized on national as well as international level.
